"Wild Geese"

Yesterday afternoon a neighbor dropped off some corn. They're crop was full and abundant and they shared. This offering came as a reminded that the full Moon, the Corn Moon was last night. As much as I wanted to melt into Luna, I simply sat under her glow, offering a feeble prayer (if there is such a thing in prayer as feeble), and sending with as much love, compassion, and energy as possible a blessing for our Great Mother Earth and all Her inhabitants. God is always good, gentle, and full of grace. This morning I scrolled upon this poem. It feels right for my heart and soul, which seem to be breathing and beating at a different pace than I. They are telling me they won't slow down or turn around for me to catch up, I must synchronize myself with them, heart and soul. It isn't a deep calling to deep from outside myself or from some known place within, deep is calling to deep from a frontier not yet discover, a more farther away, mysterious place. So, yes Mary Oliver's words feel right with my heart and soul and so I share them here with you, while we remain in the window of Luna's fullness, of the Corn Moon, as we wane and wax once more before the Harvest Moon.
Once again for the first time journey.

WILD GEESE
by: Mary Oliver

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
For a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
Love what it loves.
Tell me about your despair, yours, and I will tell
You of mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
Are moving across the landscapes,
Over the prairies and the deep trees,
The mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
Are heading home again.
Whoever you are, know matter how lonely,
The world offers itself to your imagination,
Calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting,
Over and over announcing your place
In the family of things.

I think this abundance in nature is headed to an abundance of spirit for you. :)

The words of that poem are beautiful, they went straight to my heart! Thank you so much for sharing them.
