Before any items were moved in, Laurie came over to assist in smudging and dedicating my new home. Music was among several gifts and tools she’d brought with her. After wrapping up our prayers and clearing we sat in the middle of the great room looking out the wall of windows taking in the beautiful vast landscape. Turning the music on, “Wildflowers” began to play and Laurie simply, and so nonchalantly said, “This is from Jeff.”
Now my sweet friend is not only like minded and intuitive she’s also a medium, but when we’re together we’re very careful with our gifts, both of us knowing they’re meant to be shared in an invitational sort of way. She was as shocked as I when the innocent statement flowed from her lips. Both of us, with tears flowing, allowed messages to come through and to be received.
That day, Laurie and Jeff had gifted me a fragrant bouquet of peace, yesterday, driving down Main Street, that powerful gift flowered over me once more as if Jeff was reaffirming, knowing I was questioning again. It has been less than a week since the massacre in Vegas, Tom Petty’s crossing, and returning home from meeting my new grandson…so yes, my heart is more tender and needful but the right dose of love was given. ‘Wildflowers’ spoke, as if Jeff commissioned Tom Petty to write those lyrics just for me, at this right time.
In Deep Gratitude and In Joy
