Life continues to hold several detours for me right now. While it's been a challenge of a lesson learned, I have found the more catiwompus things get the more self care and down time I require. It seemed selfish at first until I realized though this self care I am better able to serve, give, love, and continue in the knowledge that life remains beautiful. Much seems to be neglected however, such as this blog, but I am emotionally and mentally in a better place as I journey around these detours. So, if you find yourself in a detour of life and need a permission slip to enter into more self care and down time, let me know.
Recently I purchased A Course In Miracles. Not sure why it took me so long to get the book as I've wanted for years to study it. It's been sitting on my shelf for over a month now. Picking it up today, fanning through the pages, I stopped at Lesson 127 from the Workbook For Students section, page 230, it's entitled, "There is no love but God's," such beautiful words and thoughts contained within this lesson but 127:4 beaconed me to share with you.
"No course whose purpose is to teach you to remember what you really are could fail to emphasize that there can never be a difference in what you really are and what love is. Love's meaning is your own, and shared by God Himself. For what you are is what He is. There is no love but His, and what He is, is everything there is. There is no limit placed upon Himself, and so are you unlimited as well."
Wow, read and re-read this passage. Let it sink into every cell of your gorgeous being. Our existence is love. We came from love. We shall return to love. And, we are limitless beings who can simply, wholly, holy love. The entire content is so moving to me but this part, "Love's meaning is your own, and shared by God Himself," really hit me.
What part of this passage feels right to you?
What part calls to you to integrate deeper into your life?
